Today, we went on a walking tour, by ourselves so it wasn't really a tour. Mommy's book helped us go around the city and find these cool things.
| This is a very small water fountain. You can drink out of it if you head is small enough. My head was not small enough. |
| This is a water fountain by the police station. There were water fountains EVERY WHERE in Zurich so we were never thirsty. |
| This is the full water fountain. |
| This is me and my brother at a playground. There was a good climbing tree so we climbed it. |
| One of the really OLD churches in Zurich. |
| This is the Grossmunster. It literally means big cathedral. You can climb 187 stairs to the top and look over Zurich. We did that! |
| This is a statue honoring the ladies who saved the city from an invasion in 1292. |
| We have seen a couple of these big chess boards in Switzerland. |
| This is a REALLY big clock tower. It's diameter is 28 feet! |
| This is me, my brother and my mom. We were next to the chess players. |
| The really big church again |
| This is the very top of the Grossmunster. |
| This is Logan and I on the top of the church. The stairs going to the top were VERY narrow. It was so narrow that two people couldn't really walk by each other in the stairwell. |
| We went to this very, very, very fancy chocolate place called, Sprungli. They sold truffles, chocolates, breads, sandwiches, brioche rolls with truffles inside! Daddy really likes brioche so we got four of these to take home. They were AWESOME! We also bought some macaroons that were so good that they are hard to describe. |
I LOVE LOVE LOVE macaroons and macarons! They are hard to describe, but spectacular. They sometimes have them at La Reve in the Tosa Village. We'll have to go when you're with us in August. Looks like you're having a great time. We miss you!

It looks like my last two comments disappeared so I will try one more time. Your pictures are great. Looks like you have some talent in taking pictures like your mom. Sounds like you are really enjoying some new desserts.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning from you as I read your blog! I did not know that 'munster' means cathedral ... Also, in the photo of Sprungli, what was the brown in the center of the bread?
ReplyDeleteYou and Logan look so doggone cute in that climbing tree!!!!
